At Kean University, students can be assured that their health will be taken seriously, due to various tools that Student Health Services (SHS) provides. Student Health Services is located in Downs Hall, Room 126 where individuals can make appointments prior to their visit.

Dec. 10 is known by many as Human Rights Day, a day to honor the adoption of the United Nations' Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR), put into action after the UN General Assembly in 1948. For most student-athletes, their rookie year playing a college sport is spent more on the bench than the field. However, for soccer player Felipe Lucas, freshman year established him as one of the top players in his conference and one of the most valuable players on his team.

Mary Bystrycki, a freshman studying exercise science, is also passionate about her goalkeeper position within Kean University's Women's Soccer team. Since she was five years old, she has been immersed in a life of practice and dedication toward this sport. Lately Kean's gospel choir has had a series of impressive and amazing achievements. The most recent of these accomplishments was the opportunity to perform at the Radio City Music Hall Christmas Spectacular.
