The Speech, Language and Hearing Student Association (SLHSA) is a student group dedicated to improving communication and knowledge relating to the speech, language and hearing sciences program. With its earliest record dating back to 1984, the SLHSA remains one of Kean’s longest running organizations.

The Fashion Show hosted by the Silver Leadership Program takes place Wednesday, April 10, 2019 in the Miron Student Center Little Theatre beginning at 7:00 p.m. and ending at 10:00 p.m.
Kean Students are $5, while Non-KU students are $7 and all proceeds go to the Children's Specialized Hospital.

Zijia Abigail Zhou, better known as Abigail, is an exchange student from Wenzhou-Kean (WKU) who has dived straight into involving and submerging herself in everything the Main Campus in Union, NJ has to offer. In only her first semester here, she has become a member of Wenzhou-Kean University Student Association, been hired to work with the Involvement Center and volunteered at multiple student community service projects like Alternative Spring Break and Community Food Bank.

Kean students and alumni came together for the Alumni-Student Networking Night at North Avenue Academic Building (NAAB) Thursday, March 21. The program was an opportunity for alumni to come back to Kean and share their expertise to students hoping to gain knowledge and potentially expand their professional networks. The event was a collaborative effort between Career Services and the Kean University Alumni Association.

Kean University hosted Abigail E. Disney and Reverend Rob Schenck to discuss their documentary "The Armor of Light" and its relation to whether one can indeed be pro-gun and pro-life in today's society. The two presented as part of Kean's Distinguished Lecture Series March 6 in the Science, Technology and Mathematics (STEM) Auditorium.

Kean University's main campus allows students to explore new experiences through the study abroad partnership with Wenzhou-Kean's campus, and Wenzhou-Kean University (WKU) students get to study here on the Main Campus in Union, NJ to experience America's offerings. One student who has been able to study here at Main Campus and make the most of everything Kean University has to offer is Biqi Zhou, better known as Maggie. Zhou is a global business major from Wenzhou-Kean in her second semester studying here at Main Campus.

Kean History Professor Christopher Bellitto, Ph.D., made a presentation on the life and impact of Joan of Arc. The lecture occurred Wednesday, March 20 at the Miron Student Center (MSC), Room 226 and was part of the Women's and Gender Studies Distinguished Lecture Series for Women's History Month.

Founded in 1979, Kean Dance Theatre (KDT) is an organization that is very well-known and involved on campus. They strive to show their creativity and hard work through various dance styles. They perform dance styles including but not limited to jazz, contemporary, hip-hop, tap and more. Throughout the academic year, they make performances at some of the largest events such as Kean Dance Marathon and homecoming.

Best-selling author Chelsea Clinton will be discussing the issue of endangered animals as well as her new children's book Don’t Let Them Disappear during a special lecture event and book signing at Enlow Recital Hall Thursday, April 4. Please note, the location has changed from Wilkins Theatre to Enlow Recital Hall.
