Kean Research Days spotlight the research done by faculty and students. Researchers showcase their ongoing or finished projects to the Kean community. Sponsored by the Office of Research and Sponsored Programs, this year’s celebration occurred from Monday, April 24, to Wednesday, April 26.

Kean University’s Founders 5K is an event that the Kean community won’t want to miss. This race celebrates Kean University’s inception in 1855 and will occur on Saturday, April 15.
On Monday, April 3, students gathered on the Miron Student Center Patio for a special event. From 3 to 5 p.m., Kean P.U.L.S.E. Programming Board presented its latest event, “Love is in the Hair.”
On Saturday, April 29, Kean University PRISM will host its second annual Pride Prom. At 7 p.m., students will have the opportunity to attend the event being held in the Kean University STEM Atrium. With a night full of dancing, partying, and fun, students won’t want to miss this unforgettable night.
The 2023-2024 Student Government Elections are fast approaching. With the Student Government Association (SGA) being an active group on campus, students should vote so that their voices can be heard. With this year’s election, new Student Government candidates will be running.
On Tuesday, March 21, Kean conducted its Women Empowerment Series by launching Play Like a Girl. In this panel, Brianna Shaw, event facilitator and women’s swimming team member, led this event to celebrate women in sports.

Spring break is a time of getaway for students worldwide and Kean University conducted its recess from Monday, March 6 through Sunday, March 12. Although it’s seen as a vacational period, students remained focused on their educational goals as spring break typically occurs midway through the semester. During this time, some may travel, work more hours, enjoy vacations, visit their families, and more.
With March being Women’s History Month, Kean University is celebrating with many different events, including the Women’s Empowerment Series. Through the collaborative efforts of Kean Athletics and the Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, the university welcomed an inspiring woman to be the guest speaker at the event.
Kean University has hundreds of clubs for students to join as an extracurricular activity. Every organization is unique in its own way and students can always find at least one club that piques their interest. For those in the pre-medical community, there is a newly recognized club where they are sure to fit right in.
During Black History Month, communities often highlight the Black innovators of the world. Martin Luther King Jr., Rosa Parks, and Harriet Tubman are some of the most mentioned figures in regard to Black history. The legacy of Black innovators is impactful and necessary, so it’s also important to bring awareness to those who don’t get as much coverage in the media or in textbooks.
