On Friday, September 8, Miron Student Center Operations and Event Management hosted a successful Kean Day event from 12 - 4 p.m. Students were in their complimentary “Kean Day” T-shirts as they explored numerous groups and participated in fun activities.
On Tuesday, September 5, Kean University’s Back 2 Basics: Wellbeing BBQ occurred and it was a success. The Miron Student Center patio was filled with students as they socialized and danced to the songs played by the DJ.
Apart of Kean University’s New Student Experience, Kean University hosted its iEngage event on Friday September 1st in the Miron Student Center. iEngage was one of the many events hosted as part of Kean’s Jump Into Kean Week.
On Saturday, September 2, the Kean football team hosted their first home game of the season against State University of New York (SUNY) Morrisville at the Kean Alumni Stadium. Before the game, the tailgate started at 11 a.m. in the Hardwood Arena parking lot.
On Friday, September 1, Kean University held the Greek Showcase and Barbeque event. New students walked to the Miron Student Center (MSC) basketball courts where the event was held to see what Kean’s Greek life is all about.
On Thursday, August 31, the Kean P.U.L.S.E. Programming Board hosted a Do it Yourself (DIY) Arts Night event. The event took place at the Miron Student Center from 6 -7:30 p.m. As students walked into the student center they were greeted by members of Kean P.U.L.S.E and then went on to participate in the different activities.
On Wednesday, August 30, Kean University hosted the Quad Food Truck Festival, this event was open to all students. From 5 - 7 p.m., long lines surrounded each food truck as students were excited to try the different cuisines.
Student Health Services consists of many dedicated health professionals. This staff embraces many challenges of turbulent nature within the healthcare field. On Thursday, May 11, the department received the Patriot Award.
Kean Research Days spotlight the research done by faculty and students. Researchers showcase their ongoing or finished projects to the Kean community. Sponsored by the Office of Research and Sponsored Programs, this year’s celebration occurred from Monday, April 24, to Wednesday, April 26.
The diversity of Kean University is shown through its students’ different cultures and traditions. On Thursday, April 20, from 7 to 11 p.m., the Student Government Association and the Graduate Student Government hosted CultureFest, which lets students feel at home by celebrating their backgrounds.
Kean Dance Marathon (KDM) is an annual event that allows students and Greek organizations to join together through dance. On Friday, April 14, Greek Senate celebrated the ninth anniversary of KDM.
On Monday, April 3, students gathered on the Miron Student Center Patio for a special event. From 3 to 5 p.m., Kean P.U.L.S.E. Programming Board presented its latest event, “Love is in the Hair.”
On Tuesday, March 21, Kean conducted its Women Empowerment Series by launching Play Like a Girl. In this panel, Brianna Shaw, event facilitator and women’s swimming team member, led this event to celebrate women in sports.
With March being Women’s History Month, Kean University is celebrating with many different events, including the Women’s Empowerment Series. Through the collaborative efforts of Kean Athletics and the Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, the university welcomed an inspiring woman to be the guest speaker at the event.
On Tuesday, January 31, crowds of students came out for Kean University’s Student Involvement and Employment Fair. From 12 to 4 p.m., the chatter and laughs of students could be heard throughout the Mirson Student Center. The clubs and organizations set up tables and were ready to showcase the interesting and unique qualities of their groups.
On Wednesday, January 18, students, alumni and others gathered in Harwood Arena to meet the Greeks. From 6 to 10:30 p.m. students interested in joining a sorority or fraternity got the chance to meet with Greek Life.
On December 1, students gathered at Kean Hall for the Student Town Hall meeting with Kean University President Lamont O. Repollet, Ed.D. Here, students spoke about the problems on campus and the solutions to solve them.
On Thursday, December 8, the Kean P.U.L.S.E. Programming Board held its final event of the semester, Silent Disco. This night took place at Downs Hall from 9 p.m. to 12 a.m.
On Friday, November 18, Delta Phi Epsilon raised money for their philanthropy, Cystic Fibrosis. To reach their goal, the sorority hosted Deepher Dude, their annual male pageant-style event.
