Thursday Nov. 16 in the Green Lane Academic Building, Kean hosted a business internship fair where 35 companies came and gave students information about their internship programs. Around 300 students came to get information and hand their resumes over to the companies they were interested in.

On Thursday, Nov. 14, a line formed throughout the hallway on the third floor of the Miron Student Center (MSC) room 315, for the Global Harvest. An event hosted by the Center for Interdisciplinary Studies, many student groups and cultural departments came out to be part of the event. Students who attended the event came to support and enjoy food from the Asian studies department, the Africana studies department, Filipino Uniting Nations at Kean (FUNK), and Kean University Hillel.

Iota Rho chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha hosted its first annual strolling competition Wednesday, Nov. 15, inside Wilkens Theater from 8 to 10 p.m. The competition titled Stroll Like an Alpha allowed teams from Montclair University, New Jersey City Universit (NJCU) y, Bloomfield College, Rutgers University Newark and Kean University to perform choreographed dances, strolls and step performances to a packed crowd in Wilkins theater.

Thursday, Nov. 16, Kean Dance Theater (KDT) hosted its third annual Prime Time Powderpuff Game in support of breast cancer awareness. Members of KDT and students of Kean volunteered to play in a flag football game against William Patterson University. The proceeds from the night went toward the American Cancer Society.

Meteorologist Michael Rizzo from News 12 in Bronx and Brooklyn, New York gave a memorable presentation to members of the Kean student body at Hennings Hall Room 113, Thursday, Oct. 26. The speech included information about Rizzo's occupation, the importance of working hard to achieve a degree, and the significance of making students' dreams into realities.

Students and faculty filled room 228 of the Miron Student Center (MSC) to fundraise and raise awareness for the upcoming Kean Dance Marathon (KDM) in April, as the Kean Dance Marathon Hype Day commenced on Monday, Oct. 23, 2017. From noon to 8 p.m., multiple student organizations hosted tables and games for incoming students to donate to the good cause of the Children's Specialized Hospital of New Jersey, the primary sponsor for Kean University's annual dance festival.

Every year, Kean University does its absolute best to raise money for Breast Cancer Awareness month. During the month of October, student groups and the Kean community have come together to create events and activities to get students and faculty to reach a goal of $5,000. As the month comes to an end, the Kean community can look back and see the many things they did to raise awareness and money to be donated to the American Cancer Society.
