The Kean Gospel Choir is preparing for a night full of music and ministry in Downs Hall on Tuesday, May 5, 2015. The Celebration of Gospel will begin at 7:30 p.m. and food and refreshments will be provided. Tickets can be purchased at the Wilkins Theater Box Office for the low price of $5. Those attending are encouraged to wear semi-formal attire. This will be the first occurrence of an annual event—so don’t miss out!
The office of student government is comprised of two individual governments—the Student Organization and the Graduate and Part-time Student Council. With March approaching, the window of time to apply for a position is closing in on Kean University students. The application is available on the Office of Student Government Cougar Link page under “Forms”.
To celebrate Black History Month and the loveable day of Valentine’s Day, Student Government Organization hosted For the Love of Music: Black History Month and Valentine’s Day concert on Friday, February 6, 2015, at Wilkins Theatre. It was a successful night, especially since nearly 800 tickets were sold before the concert date. On the night of, the crowd did not only consist of college students, but of people of different ages ranging from age 17 to about the age of 60.
The color red can symbolize many things but what makes the color stand out is that it is uniquely attractive. As students walked by the University Center [UC] on Friday February 6, 2015, many were attracted to the color, as it drew the campus community to learn about heart disease in women. As a nationally recognized day, Wear Red Day is aimed to support the research and fundraising in women’s health.
