Students gathered around the Miron Student Center (MSC) Patio to partake in this year's Earth Day Fair hosted by the Earth Science Club. The fair took place Tuesday, April 16 and is part of the Earth Science Club's many upcoming events to celebrate this coming Earth Day April 22.

The Internship and Job Fair was held in Downs Hall Wednesday, April 10 from noon to 4 p.m., featuring businesses and organizations perfect for those with an interest in social work, accounting, health care and more. The event was hosted by Kean University's Career Services, a program available to students and alumni as well as employers looking to recruit students at Kean. Through this department, students and alumni can search for jobs and internships posted by approved employers.

Student Organization of Kean University and the Social Work Club partnered together to host the panel, Influencing Change: Women Social Workers in Leadership, as part of Women's History Month and Social Work Month. The panel featured New Jersey Lieutenant Governor Sheila Oliver, Assemblywoman Joann Downey, J.D., Executive Director for the National Association of Social Workers-New Jersey Chapter Jennifer Thompson, MSW and Executive Director of the Family Service Bureau Manuela Garcia, LCSW, who brought their knowledge and expertise to Kean students.

At the end of every spring semester, the Kean University Greek Senate hosts Kean Dance Marathon (KDM), a fundraiser to support the Children's Specialized Hospital (CSH). As the years have progressed, Greek Senate has planned more events throughout the academic year to support KDM and make the donation at the end of the academic year even larger than ever before. This year they hosted the first FTK Color Run to raise more funds for the kids Sunday, April 7.

The month of April is known as Holocaust and Genocide Awareness Month. To help commemorate this month, the Holocaust Research Center (HRC) here at Kean has planned events throughout April to keep students educated on the important topics of the Holocaust and genocide.

The Holocaust Resource Center (HRC) and Diversity Council on Global Education and Citizenship hosted a panel at the Miron Student Center (MSC) Tuesday, April 9 from 4:30 to 7 p.m.. The purpose of this panel was to discuss ways to build a safe and inclusive classroom environment for people across the LGBTQ+ spectrum.

Greek Senate hosted the annual Kean Dance Marathon (KDM) in Harwood Arena Friday, April 12 with a multitude of fundraising and activities. This 12-hour event concluded the fundraising efforts made throughout the year. Although KDM was a night of fun, everyone came to support an important cause: the children at the Children's Specialized Hospital.

The first ever Issa Vibe Talent Show took place Feb. 28. Attendees were able to watch as Kean students showcased a spectrum of talents that included singing, rapping, dancing and spoken word poetry.

Kean students and alumni came together for the Alumni-Student Networking Night at North Avenue Academic Building (NAAB) Thursday, March 21. The program was an opportunity for alumni to come back to Kean and share their expertise to students hoping to gain knowledge and potentially expand their professional networks.
