As the Kean University Football team looks forward to closing out the season strong with a bowl victory, characteristics such as perseverance, hard work and teamwork resonate with the 96 members of the team. Listening to coaches, studying game film, giving the extra effort during every practice, and executing properly on the field seem to be the top priorities for every man that straps on a helmet every Saturday for the Cougars.

Brothers from Kean University's Iota Rho chapter of the Alpha Phi Alpha fraternity visited Irvington High School to teach students the importance of leadership, responsibility and hard work to achieve personal goals. Winners for homecoming king and queen were announced during halftime of the football game between Kean University and William Paterson University. On Saturday, Oct. 7, 2017, everyone who attended the game found out that the two lucky winners were Kevin Macalos for homecoming king and Fatizenebu Oyibo for homecoming queen.

The Liberty Hall Museum in Union, NJ has grown the past 200 years from being a 14-room Georgian style home to a 50-room Victorian style mansion. Originally the home of New Jersey's first elected governor and signer of the Constitution, William Livingston, now serves as a museum that houses extensive collections of antique furniture, ceramics, textiles, toys and tools owned by seven generations of the Livingston and Kean families.
