President of Sigma Beta Chi Victoria Kimberlin-Orsini perfectly displays the benefits of being involved and taking full advantage of the college experience. In her years at Kean, she has dedicated herself to a double major in elementary education and sociology, as well as being the president of the well respected Sigma Beta Chi sorority. In 2017, Kimberlin-Orsini won a scholarship and service award for having 75 hours of community service.

Being the leading scorer for a collegiate basketball team is already a difficult task for anyone to accomplish, regardless of what school they play for. Add in a lengthy school schedule, long practices that do not just end when the coach dismisses everyone, and the pressure of being one of the most recognizable faces of collegiate basketball at an institution and someone's work will be cut out for them.

Isaac Taylor is a sophomore at Kean and has already been involved in multiple community service projects to help build a strong involvement resume. He is secretary of the Biology Club, a resident assistant, PARC AC, former freshmen class secretary, current representative for the sophomore class and a Silver Leader with the Leadership Institute. He is able to balance his major in cell & molecular biology with all of his involvement and responsibilities at Kean.

The life of a student athlete can be potentially stressful, as those who compete on a field, court or ice rink are tasked with the responsibilities of maintaining a good grade point average (GPA) and the highest level of proficiency in the sport they play. Early alarm clocks, lengthy study sessions, and strenuous practices and pre-season training sessions are just some of the many obligations for the school's athletic population.

Victor Suarez, a senior studying biotechnology with a minor in chemistry and math, dedicates his time to being a research team leader for the governor's Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) Scholars program. He is president of Tri-Beta Biological Honor Society, president of biotechnology club, resident assistant of Rogers Hall third floor, head tutor for ACCESS tutoring center, ambassador for the Garden State Louis Stokes Alliances for Minority Participation Program (LSAMP), research peer adviser of CURF Office of Research and Sponsored Programs.

Hailey Cruz is a graduate student studying school counseling and will graduate in spring 2018. In fall of 2018, she plans to return to her post-masters program in licensed professional counseling (LPC). At Kean University, there are more than 160 student clubs and organizations that are active. From cultural groups to student government, there are so many opportunities for students to be involved and informed.
