In commemoration of the 80th Anniversary of Kristallnacht, the Holocaust Resource Center will be hosting an event with a special guest speaker who was a child survivor of the Holocaust. This event will be held Monday, Nov. 5 in the North Avenue Academic Building (NAAB) auditorium from 3:15 to 4:30 p.m.

Kean University is known for a world-class affordable education. The university pushes this goal further with offerings of multiple scholarships. The Kean Foundation scholarship application opened Monday, Oct. 1, 2018 and will close Friday, March 1, 2019 and is available for all Kean student applicants.

On Oct. 14, Lambda Theta Phi Fraternity Inc. will be hosting their first annual Fraternal Charity Futbol Cup from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Kean Alumni Stadium. This event will be centered around competition and charity in hopes of raising a ton of awareness and donations for the Children's Specialized Hospital and the Special Olympics of New Jersey.

Kean Gospel Choir will be holding a free gospel concert to celebrate the release of their first single, "Behold Him." The gospel concert will take place Sunday, Oct. 21 at 6 p.m. in Agape House of Worship at 239 E First Ave. in Roselle, New Jersey.

Construction will begin shortly for a new building for the College of Business and Public Management at Kean University's Union campus. Expected to be completed in 2020, the building will be state of the art in business education.

Students at Kean can be a voice for their community through the Student Organization of Kean University. With that being said, every school year Student Organization allows freshmen, sophomores, juniors and seniors the ability to be a part of a group of individuals who advocate for their class.

The Center for International Studies hosted this semester’s Study Abroad Fair Sept. 27 in the Center for Academic Success (CAS) Atrium. The fair provided students with information and the opportunity to speak with representatives from the various study abroad programs students can take advantage of at Kean.

Since 1985, the United States has recognized October as National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. In honor of this designation, Kean will be holding various events throughout the month in order to raise awareness of the disease and funds for finding a cure.

Liberty Hall Museum at Kean University will be hosting its second Liberty Hall Dance Festival in partnership with Buggé Ballet Saturday, Sept. 29 from 1 to 4 p.m. This event consists of professional dance performances that are inspired by significant moments in history and will take place all around the Liberty Hall Museum property.
