The Love Your Melon (LYM) Campus Crew started at Kean University three years ago with the help of Nicolette Perone, who is now an alumna. She was passionate about the LYM company and thought that the Kean community would be as well. This Kean chapter helps promote the LYM apparel brand and inform people about LYM's company mission of donating a hat to every child in America that has cancer and also donating to cancer research to fight pediatric cancer.

Cougars in Motion, a Kean organization dedicated to the filming process, has recently started meeting again for the 2018-2019 school year. While it has been active for about four years, this club has given students a creative outlet and the opportunity to become immersed in the world of film.

Students often find themselves torn between standing out on campus or blending in. It is this dilemma that can often instill doubts inside students' minds as to whether or not they are truly making the most of their college experience here at Kean. For Jonathan Ibarra, it was with unwavering certainty that he wanted to leave his mark on this campus.

Kean University is an institution that prides itself in its ability to develop students into leaders who wish to make an impact for the Kean community. Alyssa Edgar is one of these prized students. Edgar, a sophomore studying communications with a concentration in public relations, is involved in the Student Organization of Kean University as the assistant secretary, a silver leader in the Leadership Institute and a member of the Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA).

Kean makes it easier for students to get involved with its variety of clubs, Greek organizations, honor societies, athletics, and student government. However, knowledge regarding the inner workings of these organizations and the process of establishing funded and non-funded groups is less common among regular students.

Many students don't realize the importance of having an internship until it is too late. Fortunately, Kean is adapting Career Services to have a more expansive Office of Internships department to better benefit Kean students.

Part of Kean University's mission of offering a world-class college experience is the presentation of world-class performances through Kean Stage. Each year, Kean Stage offers a variety of different performances, showcases, and plays of all kinds to bring students and members of the community to Kean to enjoy. These showcases take place around campus in one of Kean's many theatres.

The ultimate goal in attending a university is to attain the skills and certification in a specific field to be used in a full time career. After graduation or during attendance, students want to reach these jobs they have trained for. Career Services provides information on jobs and careers for students and alumni. Their services are offered past graduation as they offer connections to employers directly through Kean University.

Housed in the Nancy Thompson Library, the Kean University Human Rights Institute is dedicated to supporting and promoting equal rights and anti-discrimination throughout not only Kean University but extends to the world. The institute designs ways to combat human rights atrocities and their causes. It is passionate about the importance of awareness and education for human rights that are being violated all over the world.

Kean University is dedicated to the safety of all students, staff and faculty. On campus there is a fully functioning police department with law enforcement and security services 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Located in Downs Hall, the police department maintains a K-9 unit and protects and serves the Kean community following the three values "Integrity. Courage. Respect".

Kean University Rotaract Action Club (KURAC) is a worldwide service organization that allows young adults to serve as leaders in the community. Rotaract will be made up of six new eboard members including president Stephanie Mera, vice president Michelle Duarte, secretary Akane Ueda, treasurer Mike Gonzalez, director of public relations Sarah Fedak, and advisor Bok Jeong.
