Tuesday, March 6 from 7 to 11 p.m., the Kean University Involvement Center will be hosting the 2018 CultureFest in celebration of Unity Week and the diversity on campus.
At the event, there will be international cuisine, music, performances and a cultural fashion show. The presentations are from Kean students and cultural organizations on campus. The international cuisines will be coming from a variety of different cultures including: Italian, Jamaican, Haitian, Spanish, Puerto Rican, Portuguese, Middle Eastern, Soul Food and Chinese. Also at the event there will be performances from Indian, Irish, Peruvian and more cultural dances and strolls from different nations.
Tickets are required and available for free to all Kean University students with a valid Kean student ID in Wilkins Theatre Box Office. Guest tickets are $5 each.
The Involvement Center is the central office for student involvement at Kean. It functions out of the Center for Leadership and Service. It serves as a resource for all the organizations on campus as well as any student interested in volunteering and joining organizations. Located in the Miron Student Center, Room 303, the Involvement Center is open five days per week, Monday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Fridays 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Unity Week and CultureFest 2018 are celebrations for Kean University's unique diversity on campus. Kean University is known for being one of New Jersey's most diverse universities. As a school community, it celebrates all of the different people on campus. Part of Kean University and The Center for Leadership and Service's mission is to welcome and promote the diversity of the university, and CultureFest 2018 is an acknowledgement of all of the school's unique students.
