Got Cougar Pride? Show it at this year's Pep Rally on Friday, Oct. 6 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Join students as they flood the Harwood Arena to hype up Cougar Athletics. The event is free, so the host Student Organization expects many students to pack the arena.
At the Pep Rally, Cougar Pride is mandatory. The goal is to hype up Kean's sports teams so that they are pumped and ready to compete against conference rivals William Paterson University for homecoming. The more students that show up, the more hype the Pep Rally gets.
"Pep Rally is a time when students can come together to support [Cougar] Athletics with ultimate school pride," said Damion Wilson, the president of Student Organization.
"I've hosted pep rally the last year," Wilson continued, "so I'm looking forward to being able to actually sit and participate in the event while also enjoying the enthusiastic environment from all the Kean Pride."
The rally is not only a great opportunity to cheer for Cougar Athletics, but it is also an opportunity to hang with friends in a show of unity and team spirit. There is also a chance to win free stuff.
"We have music, games and prizes for the students who show the most Cougar Pride," Wilson said. Students should definitely bring high energy to this event because they could potentially leave with some prizes.
Got homework that night? Get it done on the weekend. Students should come out to this annual event.
Wilson encourages students to fill the Harwood Arena at this year's Pep Rally.
Wilson said, "Students should attend Pep Rally, because this event gives us a chance to show our athletic teams that we support them. It also allows the students to show their school pride. We...should take advantage of every opportunity we can [to show gratitude and school pride]."
Bring the energy and hype up Cougar Athletics at the Pep Rally. Don't miss out on a crazy night.
