For current Kean University students, earning a degree from a world-class institution is the next goal on the agenda; but what is on the agenda after graduation?
It is common for students to have questions about the future, many of which revolve around securing an internship, developing contacts and breaking into a particular industry. These questions can create a great degree of uncertainty, but, as is customary at Kean University, there is a wealth of support available to help steer students towards their professional goals.
As part of this initiative, the Kean University Alumni Association will host Kean Alumni and Student Networking “Night of Stars” on Thursday, November 3, 2016. Donations are accepted, but attendance is complimentary. The networking event will take place from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on the sixth floor of the Science, Technology and Mathematics (STEM) building.
STEM is located at 1075 Morris Avenue in Union, N.J.
The purpose of the Alumni Association is to promote the growth, status and mission of Kean University. For the Night of Stars event, students will have the chance to network with professional alumni from different industries, including Fortune 500 companies located in the tristate area.
A list of alumni who are confirmed to attend the event has been posted to the Kean University Alumni website.
The event will incorporate a “speed-networking” format, which will resemble a speed-dating session. This is a great opportunity for students to interact with experienced professionals. Students are encouraged to ask alumni questions regarding life after graduation, particularly how to obtain a job offer or an internship.
Seating for this event will be limited, so guests must register in order to attend Kean Alumni and Student Networking “Night of Stars.” Registration must be submitted by Thursday, October 27, 2016.
To register, visit the Kean University Alumni website. For more information, contact the Alumni Relations Office by calling 908-737-ALUM (2586) or emailing alumni@kean.edu.
