Cougars, both past and present, will come together to create everlasting memories at this year's Homecoming, Once Upon A Time.
Homecoming will happen on Saturday, October 1, 2016, and will start at 10 a.m with the students tailgate at the Harwood Arena lot.
The entire day is set for all ages to enjoy. There will be food and activities starting at 11 a.m. in the Kean Hall Lot, across the Harwood Arena lot. There will also be inflatable rides and children's activities in the Kean Hall Lot. This year there will also be an Art Walk in the Vistor's Lot.
Not only that but there will be musical entertainment from the New Jersey based cover band Lifespeed, and of course there will be the football game starting at 1 p.m. at the Kean Alumni Stadium. The Kean University Cougars football team will be facing the Frostburg State University Bobcats football team.
Kean University students, alumni and faculty can register for Homecoming to get tickets for the food and games that will be located in the Kean Hall Lot. The tickets are only valid until 12:30 p.m., but food can be purchased until 3 p.m. that day. To register for Homecoming, visit the Kean Alumni Association website event page where the schedule of Homecoming will be. There, students, faculty and alumni will be able to register for the day.
There will also be numerous other events happening that day, as well as the days leading up to Homecoming.
On Wednesday, September 28, 2016, Student Organization (the undergraduate full-time government) will be hosting the Homecoming Concert featuring PartyNextDoor. Students can now purchase two tickets for this concert at Wilkins for $15 each. Students must present their student ID to purchase the tickets.
On Thursday, September 29, 2016, Greek Senate and Center for Leadership and Service (CLS) will be hosting The Silent Disco Party. The event takes place in Downs Hall at 9 p.m.
Two events are happening on Friday, September 30, 2016, the Pep Rally and the Greek Alumni Reunion. The Pep Rally will be hosted in Harwood Arena starting at 6 p.m. The Greek Alumni Reunion will be at the North Avenue Academic Building (NAAB) at 7:30 p.m. (keep in mind that students 21 and older only can attend the Greek Alumni Reunion).
