Inspirers” Selection Competition of Wenzhou-Kean University was held on Sunday, January 10, 2016, at the Wenzhou campus in China. The competition was a final round for seven students to share their special experiences in different areas during their college life and the most inspiring people who can attract more audiences will win the competition by four professional judgers.

Zuo Liu, a freshman majoring in English, who is the president of the Hip-Hop Culture Club, said, “the Inspirers Competition is for those who can encourage and motivate others through their own daily behaviors.” He shared the story and his experience with Hip-Hop Culture Club, and expected that the audience would benefit a lot from his story and have a further understanding of the club after his speech.

Xue Xia, a junior student majoring in Finance, shared her experience of doing volunteer work in Bali, Nepal and other countries during spare time, which gave a deep impression for the audience. It is a good chance for people to understand different cultures and experience the native people’s life.

The speech delivered by Qingchuan Jin, a senior student majoring in Finance, which attracted most people’s attention, was his story of how he gained praise on the first day during his internship in Hong Kong through making full use of presentation skills. Jin said that the life of everyone is unique and special, and people can’t copy the success of others. “Instead of imitating, we should find personal lifestyles that fit us and always be ourselves,” he stated.

This was a wonderful lecture outside of class that students show their motivation in life. Never stop to pursue dreams and always hold the spirits of “Inspirers”. Wenzhou-Kean University students will start at Wenzhou, and go international.
