Ever wonder how Downton Abbey would look like on stage? Well stop imagining because Liberty Hall Museum (LHM) is making it happen. On Sunday, March 6, 2016, LHM is inviting all to the Downton Abbey Ball.
Downton Abbey is a British television series that original aired on British network ITV and the United States television broadcasting network PBS with its first episode airing on December 26, 2010, and its last episode airing on Christmas day of 2015. The show revolves around the Crawely family during the Edwardian Era (1901 to 1910). It takes place in Britain and incorporates the major events during the Edwardian Era like the First World War. Downtown Abbey is known to have the most international television series Primetime Emmy Awards nominations. It has received 27 nominations.
TheDownton Abbey Ball will be starting at 6:30 p.m. in the atrium of the Science, Technology and Mathematics (STEM) building located across the LHM property. The ball costs $125 per person and if anyone would like to attend he or she is required to reserve by Sunday, February 28, 2016.
Guests will begin the night with dinner followed by the Downton Abbey live showing of the final episode. The live performance will be accompanied by the Michael Arenella & His Dreamland Orchestra. Attendees will also be able to enjoy live music and dancing.
Attendees are encouraged to dress as if they were in the time period Edwardian Era or dress as one of their favorite Downton Abbey characters. Be prepared for a dinner that is similar to what Mrs. Patmore would make as well as jazz music. Anyone who attends will view the live performance of Downton Abbey as the episode premiers on PBS.
