Sports in America are a franchise in themselves. With ticket prices ranging up to over $75 for the worst seats in the house, it has become almost impossible to experience a professional sports game. This semester, Student Organization has set out to change that – offering bus trips paired with affordable tickets to events. Tickets to the New York Knicks versus the Miami Heat will be available for purchase for $25 (1 per Kean ID) starting Wednesday, January 27, 2016, at the Wilkins Theater box office.
Students must have a complete Student Activity Participant Agreement (SAPA) form when buying tickets, which can be found via Student Organization’s Cougar Link page or in person at the Office of Student Government in Miron Student Center (MSC) room 309. On Sunday, February 28, 2016, buses will depart from the Wilkins Theatre parking lot at 5:45 p.m. to take off towards Madison Square Garden for the game of the Knicks versus the Heat.
Madison Square Garden is one of the tri-state area’s largest arena venues. Everything from sporting events to concerts take place within the walls and the Knicks are fortunate enough to call it home. Being midway through the season, the Knicks still have the opportunity at hand to come out triumphant. If home is where the heart is, than this game at Madison Square Garden is bound to be a special one.
