Many people want their voice to be heard, to help solve some issues they see on campus. So why not be that person to help solve the issues on campus? The Office of Student Government is looking for students to be a part of the Graduate and Part-Time Student Council (GSPC) and there are many positions open.
Students who want to be a part of the GPSC can begin applying today, and are due by 2 p.m. on Friday, March 4, 2016. Applications will be on Cougar Link. In order for one to apply one must sign in to Cougar Link with his or her Kean University Google email username and password.
Once logged in go to the Office of Student Government page and under documents one will find the application.
The available positions for GPSC are as listed below:
- President
- Vice President of Graduate Student Affairs
- Vice President of Part-time Student Affairs
- Treasurer
- Secretary
- Director of Public Relations
- 23 representative positions, which includes a designated spot for a Kean Ocean student
- All executive board members will get paid for their time on executive board
The candidates will be interviewed and all interviews will be posted on the Kean Xchange website and Youtube Channel; as well as the Student Organization Facebook, Twitter and Instagram page the week of March 21, 2016. The student body can begin voting for the candidates on Tuesday, April 5, 2016, at 9 a.m. and conclude on 6 p.m. on Wednesday, April 6, 2016.
Those who can vote for the GPSC candidates include any part-time or full-time students of either the undergraduate or graduated student body. Students will be able to vote using Cougar Link. One must sign in using their Kean Google email username and password and clicking on the banner presented on the homepage about elections
