Ever wanted to learn more about the prohibition period? Well now is the time because Liberty Hall Museum (LHM) is hosting the event History Happy Hour: Secrets of Prohibition.
“We decided to focus this month's History Happy Hour on prohibition because it's a popular topic among people,” comments Lacey Bongard, who is the Coordinator of Museum Programs at LHM. She continues to say that “the 1920s was full of glitz, glam, fun and (illegal) drinking and we felt it was the perfect fit for a happy hour topic!”
This event will be held on Thursday January 28, 2016, from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. There will be alcohol so only those who are at least 21 years old can attend. Attendees will be learning about the 1920’s prohibition period that includes fun facts about flappers, bootleg liquor and speakeasy.
At the event, Bongard comments that “guests will have some fun in the prohibition mug shot photo booth, figuring out the secret trivia, and sip on some beverages with friends.”
