Phil Connelly, the Executive Vice President of Kean University, delivered the keynote speech at the conference My Progress Report on the Growth of Remarkable University of WKU. He stated, “My involvement in the conception, development and growth of Wenzhou-Kean has been an incredibly rewarding experience and a crowning achievement of my career. Wenzhou-Kean University is not a Chinese outpost of Kean University. It is a fully functioning, full-scale English speaking university…[and] offers the same world-class academic programs and experiences as are offered on our Union, NJ campus. President Xi [once mentioned] Wenzhou-Kean University [is] an example of a successful approach to cooperative education that will build a bridge between the Chinese and American cultures.”

Qiang Qian, the Deputy Party Secretary and Vice President of Wenzhou-Kean University, mentioned that Wenzhou-Kean University would import social forces to support the development of the university, such as importing the high-quality of American education and U.S. textbooks to establish a better academic environment and implementing the American class settlement for major courses by hiring the professors from the Union campus or globalization recruitment. Wenzhou-Kean University insists on small-class size rule and encourages research and discusses educational mode to cultivate students' entrepreneurial spirit.

Sino Foreign Cooperation Education already became a trend in current Chinese society. It is important to enhance the relationship among existing Sino Foreign Universities. Additionally, a world-class education does take students to the pinnacle of global economy and communication.
