On December 1, 2015, critically acclaimed author Joshua Waldman will be coming to Kean University’s Little Theatre.

Best known for writing the self-help book Job Searching with Social Media for Dummies, Waldman plans to expand his thoughts on job searching for college students and enlighten visitants on how social media can be used to benefit immensely.

Waldman’s visit to Kean University is hosted by Campus Life Activities for Student Success (C.L.A.S.S.) and the academic lecture will be titled, “What your parents can’t teach you about finding a Job.” The event will take place from 3 p.m. and is scheduled to last until 4 p.m.

The goal of the event is to give students a chance to gain a fresh perspective outside their normal university professors. Waldman will expand on his most recent book, going into detail on the main concepts and ideas that he claims will guarantee an edge on the competition. Here is an excerpt from a passage in his book, “social media sites are proven platforms for facilitating connections, demonstrating passions and interests, and ultimately landing jobs.”

The first ten students to the event will be rewarded with a free copy of the aforementioned book, and the first fifty students will be rewarded with a surprise gift from the C.L.A.S.S. organization.

Don’t miss out on the chance to gain some invaluable knowledge regarding the future job hunt and to hear a published author speak his mind concerning the subject.
