The holidays are near, a time of the year that almost everyone favors. Who doesn’t love receiving presents? But instead of receiving presents this year, students should consider being on the other end…giving presents to another. From Thursday November 19, 2015, through Tuesday, December 15, 2015, Liberty Hall Museum is hosting the annual Toys For Tots program.

Toys For Tots is a program ran by the United States Marine Corps “and the purpose is to collect new, unwrapped toys and distribute these toys as Christmas gifts to less fortunate children in the community,” comments Lacey Bongard the Coordinator of Museum Programs, “Liberty Hall Museum has been an official location for toy drop off for several years.”

It is asked that students donate new toys that are unwrapped for children ages 1 through 17. If any students would like to donate toys please drop them off at the Blue House Visitor’s Center located at Liberty Hall Museum (across the Science Technology and Mathematics (STEM) parking lot).

The last day to donate toys is Tuesday, December 15, 2015, at 12 p.m. Clubs or organizations can donate toys as a whole as well, but must contact Bongard (atbongardl@kean.edu) for more information about collecting donations and receiving aToys For Tots box. Be sure to donate as soon as possible as this program is host once a year during the time frame mentioned above. Enjoy the holidays and don’t forget to give to others!
