On September 22, 2015, students of Kean University will be able to experience the sights, sounds and smells of the West Indian islands.
Partnering with the Student Organization, the West Indian Culture Club (WICC) will be bringing their background to the campus grounds between 3:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. in front of the Miron Student Center (MSC). There will be music, food and entertainment to help bring the islands to life at Kean University.
Within the Caribbean Sea, there are thousands of islands, 13 of which are independent countries. Cuba, Dominican Republic, Haiti and Jamaica are amongst some of the most popular destinations along with many others. These many islands in close proximity make for a vast and unique culture that is hard to compete with. From Carnival to cuisine, the traditions of the Caribbean are almost incompressible.
