The office of intervention and retention’s fall workshop is upon us

Sometimes, college can make one feel like they have reached their boiling point. Everyone has been there – it’s 2 a.m., assignments are piling up, and the world feels like it’s coming to an end. This sounds like a lot to handle, but don’t stress just yet, the office of intervention and retention (OI&R) has various workshops set up throughout the semester for students in need.

Various life skills workshops will be offered multiple times over the next four months. These sessions include Self-Care, Time-Management, Overcoming Anxiety, Studying/Note-taking and Managing Stress. Objectives covered will include setting boundaries, self-discipline, coping mechanisms and other useful skills geared towards student success. All workshops will take place in the Center for Academic Success (CAS) room 210. Below is the full fall schedule.

September 29: Self-Care (3:15 p.m. – 4:15 p.m.)

OI&R is located on the first floor of CAS in room 122. The office specializes in helping students reach their full potential and offers them guidance in regards to their future. Undecided and undeclared majors can easily find assistance in regards to raising their grade point average (GPA) or career counseling.
