For those who love history and happy hour, get excited because Liberty Hall Museum is hosting a History Happy Hour on Friday, June 26, 2015. While sipping on some wine and nibbling on a few snacks, enjoy learning about the do’s and don’ts of the 19th century dinner party.
Lacey Bongard, coordinator of museum programs at the Liberty Hall Museum, comments that "guests [who must be at least 21 to attend] will learn about the delicate planning process of a late 19th century dinner party such as what to wear, who to invite, who not to invite, and proper table etiquette."
The event will be held in the Carriage House on the property of Liberty Hall Museum. One must reserve by Friday, June 19, 2015. Reservations must be made by calling 908-527-0400 or by emailing libertyhall@kean.edu.
If one misses the deadline there is no need to worry as "History Happy Hour is a monthly event series taking place the last Friday of every month from 6 pm to 8 pm," comments Bongard, and each History Happy Hour event will have a different subject. During the event there will be "a fun discussion on how to plan a proper dinner."
