The Kean Gospel Choir presents its first annual Celebration of Gospel

The Campus Is Alive With The Sound Of Music

The Kean Gospel Choir is preparing for a night full of music and ministry in Downs Hall on Tuesday, May 5, 2015. The Celebration of Gospel will begin at 7:30 p.m. and food and refreshments will be provided. Tickets can be purchased at the Wilkins Theater Box Office for the low price of $5. Those attending are encouraged to wear semi-formal attire. This will be the first occurrence of an annual event—so don’t miss out!

The Kean Gospel Choir has been active on and off campus for over 5 years. With the allowance of non-student members, the choir frequently performs at multiple churches and religious events throughout the year.  The purpose of the group is to promote and provide an outlet to express the basis of their faith through gospel music amongst students at Kean University and the surrounding community. The choir does not discriminate, stating that anyone can join regardless of knowledge of gospel music or musical experience.

They rehearse twice a week: Tuesdays from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. and Thursdays from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. There is no audition required to become a member. For more information on the Kean Gospel Choir, contact gospel@kean.edu
