KEANGoogle
Kean University partnered with Google to provide efficient and easy-to-use applications to all Kean affiliates calling it KEANGoogle. Applications such as Google mail, drive, calendars and Google+ are part of KEANGoogle. A Google email address is assigned to all students providing them with 30 GB of inbox storage, which is more than enough space for their conversations and documents. All other applications can be reached using the @kean.edu email address. The KEAN Google Interface is very similar to the regular Gmail interface.
Activating your KEANGoogle account is not too difficult. First, the Kean University username will be entered (in most cases the last name followed by the first letter of the first name) and the password provided from the office of computer and information services (OCIS). If there are any problems logging in, please contact OCIS by phone at 908-737-6000.
BlackBoard
Blackboard is primarily known for building educational software, one that Kean University utilizes. All classes registered appear on Blackboard, and some professors utilize the software while others do not. Blackboard provides students with dates, grades, announcements, and tasks assigned by the professor. Anyone who is a Kean University affiliate is available to check Blackboard.
First, click here, and then enter his or her Kean University user name and password. When writing the user name do not include the @kean.edu. Once logged-in, all the classes a student is registered for should be under “my courses” on the right hand side of the page. If a professor activated the Blackboard page for his or her course, a student should be able to click on the course they wish to look into. Information, announcements and due dates can be found on the home page of Blackboard. If there are any problems logging in, contact the OCIS office at 908-737-6000.
KeanWISE
All students can utilize Web Advisor, most commonly referenced as KeanWISE; KeanWISE provides students access to their financial information, financial aid, registration, academic profile, as well as any residence life related information. Documents such as a student’s unofficial transcript, housing application, grades, schedules, and so on, can also be found on Kean Wise.
Managing KeanWISE is not too difficult. First click here. Then click “log in,” and enter the Kean University username and password. The main menu should reappear, and to access the tools and information, click on “student” and the many different options will appear.
